about
I have virtually no idea how this song came about. I can only assume that I was fixated on marriage some how. I believe that every one has the right to get married or common law. It sure does help with taxes, insurance and a few other entitlements. Hey, if you want to dance to the concept then go for it. Although, I know some people who can't exists without a significant other in their life and or getting married to satisfy a need being met. Now that's an act made for disaster.
lyrics
Gettin' Married
(Jim Curnutte)
Well you say you're getting' married, you want to tell me all about it
She's a real fine lady, there ain't no doubt about it
So you say it's set for Monday, you're gonna tie the big knot
She's all that you wanted, and she's all that you got
Well you say you're getting' married
You ought to take it real slow
Or you'll never know what hit you
Ahh, man you'll never ever know
Oh, man you'll never ever know
Well you say you're getting' married, you don't want to mess around
You're gonna raise a little family, on the better side of town
Well, it all sounds so simple, it's as easy as can be
There's just one thing that bugs me, it don't come that easily
Well you say you're getting' married
You ought to take it real slow
Or you'll never know what hit you
Ahh, man you'll never ever know
Oh, you'll ever never know
No, you'll never ever know
You want holy matrimony, you don't want to live alone
You want to be in the system, and get yourself a home
And take the little lady, live all alone
Ahh, let the bank own you, yea, own your little home
So, you say you're getting' married
You ought to take it real slow
Or you'll never know what hit you
Ahh, man you'll never ever know
Oh, you'll never never know
No, you'll never ever know
