Black and White was going to be big production. As soon as (factorial) was completed and released I was already plotting the next Jim Curnutte solo album. I was ready as ever.
There was going to be 10 songs. At first Black and White was going to be series of five 45 rpm 12" records released. Side one was to be two songs from Black and White and side two was going to be a song re recorded in the studio of a track from the Beneath album and a track from the Phaze Shifter album. When they were all released you would have the entire Black and White plus five re recorded songs from Beneath and five songs from the Phaze Shifter album.
Three months later Black and White home version was going to be released the same as you have here. A short run of Black and White would be a double record set with all of the studio BW's from the 12"s and the home masters.
All of this was only going to cost somewhere in the range of seven grand to complete. The cover was going to save us on the cost, simply because it's black and white, because it is cheaper, hence the album title.
Plus, on the cover as you see here my name phonetic spelling. The reason for this addition was due to radio DJ's who were always mispronouncing my name.
Black and White was never released on vinyl because as in all real life events, shit happens. Connie wanted out of Neurological and Elliot was never to be found until 2015.
Thanks to Alex Kendall the dream was completed and wow it is better than I had imagined it would be. When I hear these songs I want to get up and tear the fucking house down, piece by piece.
Enjoy, it's free for your pleasure.
